Weber State has been an essential part of the inception of Future Flyers (F3). Under the leadership of head coach Summer Willis, the Weber State program has been a strong supporter of youth athletes, always encouraging them to chase their dreams. The program played a major role in the existence of Future Flyers when they welcomed little Houstyn under their wing and made her feel like a true part of the team. That year, she had the unforgettable opportunity to travel to Daytona Beach and watch Weber State take the bandshell in Large Coed, Small Coed, and Partner Stunt. From that experience, a dream was born, and the idea of Future Flyer Faceoff began.
Trinity Valley Community College was the first collegiate cheer program to host a Future Flyer Competition. Under the leadership of coaches Khris Franklin and Molly McLeod, they believed in the dream and supported the vision by hosting the very first Future Flyer event. What began as a single competition has now grown into an annual tradition at TVCC, celebrating the accomplishments of future collegiate athletes while also supporting the TVCC cheer program
